Bids as of 9:30 a.m.; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during May by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified. All other bids are for full May delivery.
July morning wheat futures in early trading were 26-1/4 to 31-3/4
cents per bushel higher compared to Wednesdays closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for May Portland delivery were not
well tested in early trading.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for May
delivery were not well tested but were indicated as 26 cents per bushel
higher than Wednesdays noon bids in lining up with the higher Kansas
City July wheat futures.
Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for May
delivery were also not well tested in early trading but bids were
indicated as 32 cents per bushel higher compared to Wednesdays noon bids
in lining up with the sharply higher Minneapolis July wheat futures.
Bids for US 2 barley for May delivery were not available in early
trading.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn were 28-3/4 cents per cwt higher than
Wednesdays noon bids due to higher Chicago July corn futures in early
trading.
