Cattle auctions at Americus (214), Calhoun (768), and Greensboro (348). Receipts
Thursday 1,330, week ago 1,357 year ago 2,591. Compared to one week ago, slaughter cows
1.00 to 3.00 higher, bulls 4.00 to 5.00 higher, feeder steers 5.00 to 6.00 higher,
heifers mostly steady, steer calves 2.00 to 5.00 higher, heifer calves steady to 4.00
higher, replacement cows 2.00 to 5.00 higher.
Slaughter cows 17 percent, slaughter bulls 3 percent. Feeder steers over 600 lbs 10
percent, under 600 lbs 31 percent, heifers over 600 lbs 7 percent, under 600 lbs 25
percent, replacement cows 6 percent.
