Nov 08, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Prime Minister's Science & Innovation Council will no longer contain Warwick McKibbin. The economist and board member of the Reserve Bank of Australia claims that the move to oust him was in retaliation to his comments on the Government's economic stimulus measures. He had argued the second phase of these was too large. Meanwhile other experts back the supposition of McKibbin that the economy is going to recover more quickly than previously thought, despite Treasurer Wayne Swan noting the support for the spending coming from the central bank.
