St. Joseph, MO - Wed May 07, 2008 - USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News
Daily National Grain Market Summary
Row crops closed higher with soybeans sharply higher and wheat closing lower.
Wheat was lower despite higher corn and soybean trade. Rains through the hard
red winter wheat areas that had been dry, helped pressure the market along with
a stronger dollar. Corn was higher on wet weather forecast that will keep the
planting pace slow through next week. Soybeans were sharply higher on news from
Argentina that the farmers strike might resume. Wheat closed 6-10 cents lower.
Corn traded 3-7 cents higher. Soybeans closed 23-32 cents higher.
