USDA CARLOT MEAT 4:00 SUMMARY
Compared to Previous Day, Prices in dollars per hundredweight, Equated to FOB Omaha
Basis.

NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT LM_XB403 
***This report is based on information provided by companies that agreed to 
continue to participate in Livestock Mandatory Reporting on a voluntary 
basis.***
   
   Boxed beef cutout values were steady to weak on light to moderate demand and 
moderate offerings. Select and Choice rib, chuck and round cuts were generally 
steady while loins were weak to lower. Beef trimmings were higher on light demand
and offerings.

   Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses up 0.18 
at 155.18; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses dn 0.69 at 152.10; based on 145.73 
loads of Choice cuts, 110.72 loads of Select cuts, 5.16 loads of Trimmings, and 
89.14 loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE 
   Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
Up 0.15 at 141.76; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses dn 0.28 at 138.16.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 318,531 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT LM_XB405
   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 127.57 up 0.94.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE NW_LS441
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 10.61 down
-0.04 when compared to Wednesday's value.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  NW_LS500
   Sales reported on 43.75 loads of pork cuts and 1.0 loads of trim/process pork.

   Compared to Wednesday's Close:  Fresh loins firm; butts 1.00-2.00 higher; sknd
Hams 23-27 lbs 2.00 higher, all other processing cuts not tested. Trading very slow,
with light to moderate demand and offerings.

  *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 0.65" -0.80" back 
fat at last rib.* **78.71.up 0.39**  Loins bone in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-
