BRIEF: Think your taxes are high? Here are the top 10 taxpayers for Palm Beach County

Nov 06, 2009 (The Palm Beach Post - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The Palm Beach County Tax Collector's office mailed out more than 600,000 property tax bills on Saturday. In all, the bills are expected to generate more than $3.2 billion in property taxes. Here are the top 10 taxpayers, who make up about 2 percent of the total taxes levied in the county:

Florida Power & Light $33,532,879.73

Bellsouth Telecommunications $8,686,146.04

Town Center $7,043,427.63

U.S. Sugar Corp. $5,520,919.23

Breakers Palm Beach $5,351,507.92

Boca Raton Resort and Club $4,757,774.91

The Gardens Mall $4,588,386.35

2700 North Ocean Condominiums, Singer Island $3,969,848.78

The Mall at Wellington Green $3,741,677.91

City Plaza II Condominium, West Palm Beach $3,676,395.65
